Striving Interns
PROBLEM: In speaking with the leadership team at Striving DC, managers are stating that the interns are not performing in their new role as support staff resulting in a drop in client base retention for services. The company is currently working to close the performance gaps in order to improve intern performance and increase client retention by offering the Striving Interns course.
Instructional Design
A systems approach to Curriculum Design. The ADDIE model in instructional design stands for Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate. It represents a systematic approach to creating effective learning experiences by going through these five distinct phases: analyzing learner needs, designing the course structure, developing the content, implementing the learning program, and evaluating its effectiveness at every stage of the process.
Curriculum & Instruction
Backward Curriculum Design. Backward design begins with the learning objectives of a lesson, module, or course — what students are expected to learn and be able to do — and then proceeds “backward” to create assessments that demonstrate students have learned what was outlined in the learning objectives. Finally, instructors create learning activities and instructional materials that align with and support the achievement of the learning objectives. (Stapleton-Corcoran, UIC).

Interactive Learning
Adobe Captivate. Adobe Captivate is an e-Learning Course Authoring tool which allows companies to design learning solutions for employees on any device, to be accessed at any time. Authors can deliver engaging, interactive content, including interactive videos and virtual-reality courses, which go beyond standard slideshows to up-skill employees quicker. Import PowerPoint content and update it into interactive, mobile learning courses.
